The proceeding would hopefully serve as an important reference for the follow-up activities of the meeting. As the meeting agreed to take further actions in drawing up a research agenda, UNCRD in cooperation with the Urban Management Programme Regional Office for Asia and Pacific is now in the process of soliciting Case Studies of Good Practices and Lessons on Urban Infrastructure Planning and Management for Large Cities. We greatly appreciate the offer from Vietnam and Thailand for their willingness to host the second meeting of the international expert panel, which is scheduled in the latter half of 1997 to discuss selected cases.
